Colourless water - Colourful life

The tree is meant to grow around the bottle and be seen through the transparent spaces it leaves (the whole background is to be transparent, edited the colour so as to make it appear clearer).

The idea was based on the sentence above, the wonder it is that every colourful and inspiring form of life needs the colourless, insipid water to develop. The tree is related to the concepts of maturing and gaining experience, and the kid to their ever present curiosity and enthusiasm, all of which are needed for Art.

I love the effect light creates when going through any kind of transparent recipient, and hoped that when the light touched this design it made the colours go all crazy in the same way.

The bottle's shape looked so cool it was imposible to resist joining it, even if it's just for fun (:

Done with Copic markers, and sepia and blue inks.

WHAT THE
How come I missed this? HOW? It's so beauuutiful. ;<; Don't tell me it's traditional. Please don't. Nobody's that good with trad. Oh man, I don't even know where to start... the wonderful clash between soft blue and hot red? The details on the trunk? The fact that, with the transparency of the bottle, it looks like a deep forest and it's such a fantastic trick? The symbol of it all? The glow? The fucken everything?

I saw the winners for this contest. And I was VERY disappoint. First place : plain. Second place : fun but déjà vu. Third place : okay but simple. AND WHERE IS YOUR ENTRY PLZ? I. Want. That. Bottle. è_é

God, you became reaaally good. D'you take commissions btw? 8>

Wa... I don't even know what to reply to this (and I also kept it in my inbox these days to be able to read it when I entered... you're not the only depraved one here, see? ;A; ). Thank you so, so much, it means a lot to me.

The winners were all of them first place, there was one for each kind of category (Photography, Traditional, Digital). The truth is that I thought they were searching for more impactant designs and there were quite a lof of great entries that I truly believed would win in each category. But well, this is how contests go ^^

And well... I've thought about commissions, but I'm not confident enough and I just don't know what prices would be right to put... e___e

You definitely should consider opening commissions (if it's not already done). I'm sure you'd have a lot of success!
